The original Trump limo goes up for sale

IRL/GB

Back in 1988 Donald Trump branding and self-promotion resulted in the Trump Limo.

At the time he managed to persuade Cadillac to take an order for 50 Trump Limousines but the order was never completed and his dream for a fleet of Trump Limos was never realised.

It transpired that just two cars managed to find their way onto the streets of New York.

The Trump limo had a fax machine, a black and white TV, a paper shredder and of course the ubiquitous drinks cabinet and all this in the middle of the recession of the mid-eighties.

One of the two original Trump Limos has been in the UK since 1991 and is now being put up for sale.

The car was originally advertised in Exchange and Mart by Severnvale Cars in Gloucester but there was still bound to be plenty of interest.

The dealer selling the car describes it as “a unique vehicle that offers a rare opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts to buy a car that will always attract interest. We know the current owner, who bought it ten years ago, and it’s been his pride and joy. We hope it will fetch a good price”.

Now Bonham’s auctioneers have moved to offer the car for auction next week with a guide price of between £10,000 and £12,000 Sterling.

One thing for sure, like Trump, this is one of a kind and you’re not going to see another one.
