One of the latest tweets shared on the official An Garda Síochána Twitter account has revealed quite a dangerous action by one driver.

Guards from the Dublin Metropolitan Region stopped a vehicle because it was discovered it had no tax, insurance or NCT.

On further examination of the vehicle, they also discovered it was in a very dangerous and unroadworthy condition, to say the least.

What they found was frightening. This totally irresponsible and dangerous driver had clamped a vise-grips onto the brake fluid pipe in order to stop the brake fluid leaking from what was obviously a previously damaged pipe.

This highly dangerous and reckless act not only put the driver in grave danger but also could have led to the brakes failing catastrophically, potentially putting the safety of others road users and pedestrians at risk.

The Gardai are quite active on social media and are always sharing images on Twitter of cars they have seized for a plethora of reasons but what they shared in this post is actually a bit scary.

The car was impounded by Gardai.
